Loft study in Brighton conservation area

Tuesday, May 13th, 2014

The works for this elegent Brighton Victorian townhouse included a loft conversion with a “hidden” ensuite toilet and a complete refit to the master bedroom’s ensuite shower room.  As the property is in a conservation area the usual dormer construction to the rear of the loft was not possible. Instead the owners opted for an increase sense of space with one of Velux’s balcony window arrangements.  Extra light was also brought in to the stairwell with the clever use of glass bricks and a light tunnel.  Additional space in the stairwell was made good use off with the provision of bespoke bookshelves.

  • Light tunnel
  • Bespoke bookshelves and storage units
  • Velux balcony windows
  • Working to conservation area restrictions
  • Ensuite “hidden” toilet
  • Master bedroom’s ensuite shower refit

“A lovely team to have in the house. Geoff and his craftsmen communicated clearly throughout, and went to great lengths to do what we dreamed of, rather than just another blueprint loft. We are very pleased with the results. Thank you! “

Hove loft conversion to 2 bedroom terrace house

Tuesday, November 26th, 2013

With a 3 month old baby this client was much in need of more space, and with minimal disruption.

The loft space of their 2 bedroom terrace was underutilised  and, although only 26m2, was enough to give them an airy, comfortable  loft conversion consisting of a master bedroom with en-suite shower and toilet, with Veluxs® windows to the front and dormer roof to the rear.

With an improved layout, the couple are delighted to inform us the property’s valuation has risen by more than double the initial cost of the loft conversion.
